Wash. Examiner’s Westwood: Trump ‘Has Gone out of His Way To Conceal What His Thinking Is’ on Syria

‘We’re seeing the White House reclaim the air of mystery surrounding what President Trump is going to do with regards to Syria’

RUSH EXCERPT:
WESTWOOD: "President Trump is someone that has gone out of his way to conceal what his thinking is on these kinds of issues. That’s what happened last time the U.S. Struck Syria and he had started to take some criticism for maybe showing too much of his hand. He said earlier that he would make decision within 24 to 48 hours, the tweet that suggested there had been some behind-the-scenes skirmishes with Russia. Now we’re seeing the White House reclaim the air of mystery surrounding what President Trump is going to do with regards to Syria. Earlier in the week, his comments said that he was working on making decisions within 24 to 48 hours and not launching a strike. The process seems to be that the U.S. Is working with France and Britain to do some kind of multilateral strike. Some sort of coalition to respond to the weapons attack. So that’s a process that we’re watching now."
