CNN’s Jake Tapper on Monday compared Donald Trump’s weekend Twitter tantrum—and Congress’ lack of response to the president’s outburst—to a child you’re “used to pitching a fit,” and thus, largely ignore.

Tapper was reporting on the Trump’s weekend-long Twitter rampage, during with the president lashed out “on everything from Amazon dot com to his own Department of Justice,” which he called “an embarrassment.” Tapper described Trump’s weekend tweets as “full of rage and grievance, not always hewing to acts.

The CNN host pointed out that Trump met with “luminaries such as Fox News host Sean Hannity and Don King” over the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
