Amanda Carpenter: Republican Base Voters Can See Trump Caved on the Omnibus Bill

‘You have the tax bill, some regulations cut and you have a judge — I’m not sure that’s enough’

CARPENTER: "He is trying to have it both ways. But Republican voters who believe President Trump would be the one to give them wall are heart broken. I thought it was pretty good politics if he did veto the bill under the pre tense of wanting to secure DACA but actually getting funding for the wall. I thought that was pretty brilliant if he had the nerve to go through with it but he caved. And the Republican voters can see that he caved and now Republicans are going into the mid-term wlekss three things to brag about. You have the tax bill, some regulations cut and you have a judge -- I’m not sure that’s enough."
