MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Slams Kay Hagan for Skipping Debate

‘Two weeks before election day. Did I mention this race is basically tied?’

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Slams Kay Hagan for Skipping Debate (Washington Free Beacon)

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow had harsh words for Hagan’s decision to give Tillis “an uncontested solo show” rather than show up for the Tuesday night debate.

Republican Thom Tillis was left with nobody to debate as Hagan decided not to participate. The other candidate in the race did not have enough support to reach the threshold required to participate.

The debate turned out to be an hour long conversation with Tillis, much to the disappointment of Maddow.

“He can tell you what he thinks without any time constraints and without anybody rudely interrupting,” said Maddow. “Two weeks before election day. Did I mention this race is basically tied?”
