Gordon Chang on Tariffs: ‘Necessary ... It’s up to Pres. to Protect the American Economy’

‘Because if he doesn’t, there’s going to be very little left to our economy’

RUSH EXCERPT:
MacDONALD: "Here with us is Gordon Chang, your reaction to the tariff?"
CHANG: "Certainly necessary. You know, as that ip commission report from Blair huntsman had shown, the estimates of the loss from U.S. To China increased. When they put out the report in 2013, they were talking about $450 billion of annual loss. The flight in scale has gone up to perhaps $600 billion. At some point the United States needs to do something. I know the markets don’t like this they don’t like uncertainty and disruptions, nonetheless, it’s up to President Trump to protect the American economy. If he doesn’t do that, there’s very little left to our economy."
