John King and his fellow panelists used a portion of Wednesday’s Inside Politics to mock President Trump over his botched Twitter slams against the Russia special counsel.

Trump went after Mueller the way he does best earlier today, though the president’s tweets faced plenty of ridicule for being full of typos and grammatical errors. When King noted how several GOP leaders have contradicted Trump’s efforts to undermine Mueller’s credibility, the panel discussed how various people are trying to reach out and tell Trump not to keep fighting with the special counsel.

Eventually, King brought the focus back on the tweet itself, saying that on an intellectual level, Trump was setting a “horrible” example with his errant message:

“I assume he knows better. He says he went to the best schools. I assume he can spell. I assume he knows basic grammar, but that is rage. He’s sitting there in what they jokingly call executive time in the morning watching cable television, nobody around. [Does] the president of the United States need supervision?”
