Matt Miller: You Can Smell the Fear in the President’s Tweets over the Weekend

‘Especially tweet where he found out Andrew McCabe kept memos like James Comey did’

EXCERPT:

MILLER: "He's trying to impede it. I think David is right. You can really smell a fear in the president’s tweets over the weekend, especially that tweet where he found out Andrew McCabe kept memos just like James Comey did. I think if you look at this firing of Andrew McCabe, what the president said is reprehensible."
BRZEZINSKI: "It is."
MILLER: "McCabe may have made some mistakes. Discipline may have been appropriate. I put a lot of faith in the career people who made recommendations, both in the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility and the senior career law at the DoJ who apparently recommended that some disciplinary action be implemented. But the role of the attorney general in this makes no sense. Jeff Sessions was recused from the underlying case that McCabe has been disciplined for. And, of course, he himself has been under great pressure by the president to move on a number of fronts, including to fire McCabe.
