He shares the president’s world view that North Korea is a dangerous threat to the homeland, that we need a better deal with Iran, and I think he can do an outstanding job explaining to the world President Trump’s foreign policy. He’s very much in the mainstream as a Republican. Someone you would expect the Republican to pick for this job. And he will get confirmed. 15 Democrats voted for him for CIA director, and these are dangerous times, Jake. We’re about to enter into negotiations with the north Koreans and this president, like every other president, deserves to have a qualified cabinet, helping them navigate the dangerous times in which we live. So he will be confirmed."
