Missouri Student Suggests Gun Registry, Calls for Assault Weapons Ban

‘We are against assault rifles and we’d like to see them banned’

EXCERPT:

SCHWARTZ: "What do you want to see changed?"
STUDENT: "I just -- I want some regulation so that we know the people that are having these guns are mentally able to have these guns, they know what they’re doing. They are intelligent and they know how — they’re informed on how to use them. And that the government has checked it out and that it’s all like regulated."
SCHWARTZ: "When it comes to assault rifles —"
STUDENT: "Yes."
SCHWARTZ: "Have you guys taken a stance on that as well?"
STUDENT: "Yes, we are against assault rifles and we would like to see them banned."
