Robert Charles: Tillerson ‘Never Learned to Salute Smartly and Execute’ Trump’s Decisions
EXCERPT:
CHARLES: "You know, bottom line is that the president sees rough waters ahead and he needs seasoned pilot at the ship estate. And have you got North Korea with a great potential opening on the horizon there. You have got Russia testing him every day, China just has a leaders that declared indefinite tenure and you've got Iran with a go no go decision on the nuclear accord in May. So, you know, really the truth is Rex Tillerson was a steady hand for the first year but he never learned to salute smartly and execute the president’s decisions. And I -- I think Ronald Reagan, frankly, probably would have shown him the door last July 20th when the secretary said that the president was a moron. At a certain point, you just have to act and be done with it."
