State Dept. Spokeswoman Jen Psaki Won’t Say if Syria Torture Photos Are Real

‘The photos are still being analyzed’

Horror photos from inside Syria's torture chambers go on display at US Holocaust Museum as war crimes prosecutor calls Bashar al-Assad's regime 'an industrial killing machine not seen since the Nazis' (The Daily Mail)

A collection of horrific photos taken inside Bashar al-Assad's Syrian torture chambers is going on display at the US Holocaust Museum.

The pictures show dozens of mangled, emaciated corpses of men who were starved, strangled, shot, beaten and tortured to death at the hands agents working for the Syrian president.

One veteran civil rights prosecutor said the pictures document 'an industrial killing machine not seen since the Holocaust,' Yahoo News reports.

Stephen Rapp, the US ambassador-at-large for war crimes, told Yahoo that the photos are 'some of the strongest evidence we've seen in the area of proof of the commission of mass atrocities.'
