Grimes Defends Offshore Client in Kentucky Courtroom (Washington Free Beacon)
A video surfaced showing Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes defending an offshore gambling company that threatened jobs and revenue for her home state of Kentucky.
In the video, Grimes indicates that her client–an online gambling company called Golden Casino–is actually based in the Netherlands.
“Their registrar, meaning the person that they send the domain name to… is located, actually, outside of the U.S., over in the Netherlands,” Grimes said.
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear said Grimes’ client “deprived Kentucky horse tracks of gambling revenue” and posed “a tremendous threat” to Kentuckians.
