Lee Zeldin: ‘Huge Gap’ Between Where Pelosi and the ‘Rest of Reality’ Is on Illegal Immigration

‘I’m not seeing Nancy Pelosi rallying her troops or even privately showing interest to negotiate a compromise’

EXCERPT:

ZELDIN: "That’s a problem. While there are — there might be congressional Democrats who want to sit down, who want to in good faith engage in this conversation, I’m not seeing it from the leadership. I’m not seeing Nancy Pelosi for example rallying her troops or even privately showing any interest to negotiate a compromise. As a matter of fact, what we’re all seeing is publicly because the leaders of each party, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Ryan, they get something called a magic minute. We all saw Nancy Pelosi spend her magic minute eight hours talking about illegal immigration, praising it, celebrating it rather than coming up with solutions of how to end it. So there is a huge gap as it relates to where Nancy Pelosi is and where the rest of reality is here in Washington and around the country. That’s a problem. So maybe she feels less pressure than when she spent eight hours praising illegal immigration."
