STRASSEL: "I don’t think that you are going to see the GOP signing on for an assault weapons ban or confiscation, which you are now hearing many Democrats call for as well, but you did hear the president and a John Roberts just said he did not mention it in his speech, which is notable, but he called for raising the age at which you can purchase rifles. Marco Rubio is out there proposing that, also a new ban on magazines of large capacity. And I think there is a worry that Republicans follow them down that road, and it is unfair to the people who are suffering in these massacres because this is not the solution. They are not going to stop the next tragedy."
