Anna Palmer: ‘I’m Very Skeptical Washington Actually Does Anything’ on Guns

‘This is a political wedge issue until the gun control movement win some races potentially in the mid-terms’

EXCERPT:

PALMER: "Yeah. They are the face of this issue in the way we’ve never seen before. I definitely agree with you. But I’m much more pessimistic as someone who spends their time in the halls of Congress, talking to members of Congress. We’ve been here before. This is a political wedge issue until the gun control movement win some big races, potentially in the mid-terms, and there’s some real movement of saying, 'If you don’t vote with us, you’ll lose your seat.' I’m very skeptical that Washington actually does anything."
