Axelrod: Trump ‘Did a Pretty Good Job’ But Must Address ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ Like AR-15s

‘This is an epidemic’

EXCERPT:

AXELROD: “That's true, Jake. We don’t know all the details of what it was that got him transferred out of that school, the school superintendent there was unable to — was bound not to reveal all of those details in the press conference today. So we don’t know the answer to that. But look, let me say -- make a few general points; one is, I think that part of the job of the president is to console the country. And I think that the president did a pretty good job there of saying the things that one would want a president to say. But it's what he didn’t say that is going to raise questions again. We have experienced three of the greatest mass murders in modern history in the last five months. We had 18 school shootings just since the first of the year. This is an epidemic."
