Gutfeld on Maher’s Stand on Islam: A Shock, Maher Becomes Sanest Man in a Room

‘Ben relied on that emotional crowd pleaser, cries of racism ... and a shock to even himself, Maher becomes the sanest man in the room — how is that?’

The Five Defends Maher from Affleck’s ‘Self-Righteousness’ on Islam (Mediaite)

The hosts of Fox News’ The Five sided with Bill Maher in his big, fiery debate on Islam with Ben Affleck. Greg Gutfeld in particular said Affleck was falling back on the tired trope of crying racism.

Gutfeld said the famed actor was “reduced to a sputtering bitter scold, soaked in self-righteousness.” He credited Maher and Sam Harris for pushing back on the idea that criticizing Islam makes you Islamophobic.

Eric Bolling joined the pile-on and asked incredulously how Affleck could say attacking Islam is like hating gays when gays are oppressed in a number of Muslim nations. Kimberly Guilfoyle called Affleck “confused,” while Bob Beckel said people, including many liberals and moderate Muslims, are too “afraid” to condemn radical Islam.
