Byron York: Without the Steele Dossier There Wouldn’t Be Evidence Sufficient to Win a FISA Warrant

‘The reputation and the credibility of Christopher Steele is really central in this case’

RUSH EXCERPT:

YORK: "They’ve tried. We’ve seen two reports. One from the house intelligence committee and one from the Senate Judiciary Committee that showed that the F.B.I. Relied heavily on the Steele dossier to get that surveillance warrant. Without the dossier there wouldn’t be evidence that was sufficient to win a warrant. So we know that. And now we’ve learned from the Senate document that the FBI placed extraordinary trust in Christopher Steele. So much trust that they continued to believe him even after they discovered that he had lied to them about meeting with the press. So the reputation and the credibility of Christopher Steele is really central in this case."
