Guy Benson on Page-Strzok Texts: They Might Suggest ‘Undue Presidential Interest and/or Influence’ by Obama

‘Apparently president Obama was really interested in hearing details about the investigation into Hillary Clinton at the time’

EXCERPT:

BENSON: "The text messages in this new trove that we’ve seen I think is revealing. The trove that is, on a few levels. We didn’t learn anything all that new. We knew already that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were deeply hostile to the president. Didn’t want him to win. May have been siding with Hillary Clinton, certainly in the election. What we saw and they also love the man they worked for, James Comey. That becomes very clear in the new text messages we’re seeing. The ones that are intriguing to me and griff touched on them; the first, apparently President Obama was really interested in hearing details about the investigation into Hillary Clinton at the time. That might suggest undue presidential interest and/or influence. And I think the inspector general, I’m sure, is looking at that angle to it. And then the other thing is, it looks like if you line up all the dates, there was a month-long gap in-between those extra Hillary Clinton emails being found on Anthony Wiener’s laptop and the Director James Comey giving that piece of information and alerting Congress that they were doing that review of those emails. What happened over the course of that one month? Why was it not disclosed sooner? I also suspect that the IG is on that case and it might have something to do with why Andy McCabe was thrown off of his position just a few days ago."
