WILLIAMS: "There is tremendous pressure coming from not only the DREAMers and the Hispanic Caucus on the Hill, but I think Democrats in general were so upset at the fact that Senator Chuck Schumer, the minority leader in the Senate, seemed to cave last time around. So I think there is pressure and they do want a deal. But from their perspective, and here I’m quoting Schumer, negotiating with Trump is like negotiating with jello. You're never quite sure exactly what he wants. The latest offer that came from the White House, he was going to cut legal immigration in the United States, do away with what he calls chain migration, which previously was known as family unification, keeping families together, and $25 billion for a wall. So I mean, that on top of the way that he demonized immigrants as all members of MS-13 during the State of the Union has absolutely angered the Democrats."
