Logan Paul, the YouTube megastar who into the consciousness of the mainstream media after filming himself laughing at an apparent corpse in Japan’s infamous suicide forest, appeared on Good Morning America today to to tell the world he’s changed.

In an interview with Michael Strahan, the vlogger — who lost his YouTube partnership due to the incident — claimed people responded to his mocking of a suicide victim by telling him to kill himself, despite his apologies and removal of the clip.

“It’s been tough, because, ironically, I’m being told to commit suicide myself — which, literally, millions of people are telling me they hate me, to go die in a fire, like the most horrible, horrific things,” Paul said.
