Kelly: Iraqi Christian Village Doesn’t Give Holy Communion For First Time In 2,000 Years (Washington Free Beacon)

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly announced Wednesday that holy communion was not given in an area of northern Iraq for the first time in 2,000 years due to the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS).

“Catholic.org reported there was no holy communion in one area of northern Iraq for the first time in 2,000 years,” Kelly said. “That’s the scope of what ISIS has achieved in Iraq.”

Kelly questioned why Iraqi Christians are in such grave danger when the U.S. and its international coalition has been bombing and offering humanitarian assistance.

“[The Obama administration] has not done nearly enough,” said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. “America should pull together the international community so the United Nations and work to allow these Christians to escape before they’re murdered by ISIS.”
