Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on her show Wednesday said that the Obama administration is complicit in the Ebola virus reaching the U.S.

“Why Did [President Barack] Obama Let Ebola Virus Into The United States?” Ingraham said, reading a blog post from her own website. “Do you believe that we should be allowing flights from Africa into the United States from the two country’s most affected?” she said.

Ingraham continued, “I believe our leaders’ first and foremost obligation is to protect the security of our country… Why does that seem so difficult for these people to do?”

“One would think that he would kind of lock it down,” she said. “We think the same thing about the border.”

The Centers for Disease Control announced Wednesday that the first U.S. case of Ebola had been diagnosed at a Texas hospital. It was reported that the patient infected had previously flown from Liberia to the U.S. to visit family.

The virus has killed roughly 3,000 people in an epidemic in Africa.
