Mark Warner: If Trump Fires Mueller ‘We Have to Wonder About the Very Tenants of Our Democracy’

‘Nothing this president does anymore surprises me’

WARNER: "Nothing this president does anymore surprises me. But it was the reason why I went out in December, went to the floor of the Senate and said this would be a red line if this president goes out and fires Mueller or for that matter pardons any of the individuals who have been indicted. We're now in an area where we have to wonder about the very tenants of our democracy and whether members of both political parties will stand up for rule of law and recognize that no one, including this president, should be above the law."
