Tom Cotton: ‘There’s Been a Shift in Democratic Elite Opinion’ on Border Security

‘In 2006 Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama and Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton all voted for the Secure Fence Act’

EXCERPT:

VITTERT: "2013 Democrats seemed so interested in border security. They talked about it, they talked about how important it was, all of them voted for a bill for $700 million of border security. Now it seems like they don’t care about border security at all. Can you understand what the difference is?"
COTTON: "It does seem there’s been a shift in Democratic elite opinion here. In 2006 Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama and Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton all voted for the Secure Fence Act. And here we are, just 12 years later, and we don’t have that built and there seems to be strong resistance among a lot of Democrats."
