Peter Thiel: Too Many Republicans Representing Us Have Lower IQs than Democrats

WEINSTEIN: "You were a financial backer of Ted Cruz's Senate race in 2012. What attracted you to Ted Cruz?"

THIEL: "I think he's very smart. I think that we have -- I think one of the challenges we have in the Republican party is that too many [of] our representatives or senators are somewhat lower IQ-ed than people on the other side. So I think there is something to be said for getting some really smart people in there."
