Rubio: Idea Cuban Gov’t Didn’t Know About Attacks on State Dept. Personnel Is ‘Absurd’

‘It is one of the most tightly-controlled cities in the world’

EXCERPT:

RUBIO: "That’s a key question. The fact that we can’t figure out how these people were injured tells you, at least allows you to conclude that if we wanted to harm people this way we wouldn’t be able to do it ourselves. But my whole point is, at end of the day you can’t do this at this level of sophistication, especially in the places where these attacks were happening against the people it was happening. If you’re an American government official, you are so closely monitored when you are in Havana that the idea that someone could attack you in a sophisticated way or any way that matter and the Cubans not at least know about it is absurd for anyone who knows about Cuba. It is one of the most tightly-controlled cities in the world."
