Joe Bastardi on Winter Storm: ‘It’s a 12-Hour Thumping Event’

‘The wind blows strongest, folks, during the middle and latter part of the storm’

RUSH EXCERPT:
BASTARDI: "Yeah, they’re going to get hammered. It’s not as bad in D.C. 1-3. Philadelphia 4 to 8 locally up to 10. New York, this is what my company had, 6 to 12. Once you get further northeast, this is a blizzard. It’s a 12-hour thumping event where it comes through, comes hard. The wind blows strongest, folks, during the middle and latter part of the storm. And then wickedly cold air comes in. The coldest air of the season for the northeastern part of the United States. We call it a directed discharge of cold air. That means instead of monkeying around in the midwest, this air comes straight down out of the north and New York City on Saturday may not get out of the single digits for highs. Could fall as low as 5 below Saturday night. That’s how cold it is."
