Krauthammer Challenges O’Reilly’s ISIS Plan: You Want ‘Band of Desperados’? (Mediaite)

Charles Krauthammer told Bill O’Reilly tonight he’s not exactly on board with his plan for an anti-terrorism mercenary force of thousands. Krauthammer asked, “Do you really want to be running around the world responsible for a band of desperados?”

O’Reilly argued the world needs such a worse because “it’s not fair for the United States to have to fight the brunt of the War on Terror all over the world.” Krauthammer, however, argued this just won’t work, and Americans who die as part of this new force won’t be mourned any less than Americans who die fighting terrorism in the present day.

Krauthammer also expressed skepticism about who exactly would be recruited for this force. He told O’Reilly these people won’t be “honorable, impoverished aristocrats,” and the reality just won’t work out in the U.S.’ favor. O’Reilly countered, “If they’re vetted properly… I have confidence this could work.”
