Dave Schweikert: Dems’ Base Is So Radicalized They Would Not Vote for Tax Cuts Because They Were Afraid of Their Primaries

‘The left’s base is so radicalized right now they made it very clear they could not provide us votes because they were afraid of their own primaries’

EXCERPT:

LEVENTHAL: "The president says the new year is all about infrastructure. Is there any chance that they can get Democrats on board?"
SCHWEIKERT: "Oh, I would hope so. But as we experienced in the tax reform, a lot of the things we were doing were discussions that had been going on Republican-Democrat for a decade. Some were actually even Democrat ideas. But the left’s base is so radicalized right now they made it very clear they could not provide us votes because they were afraid of their own primaries."
