Chris Wallace: Top GOP Operatives Say the Party Could Face ‘Real Problems’ in 2018

‘The RNC doesn’t have a good enough political opposition and they could face real problems in the 2018 mid-terms’

EXCERPT:

WALLACE: "And there is a story out today that Ronna Romney McDaniel, the Republican National Committee chairperson went to the White House a couple of weeks ago and said, 'Look, you are in real trouble with women and you ought to stay away from the Roy Moore race in Alabama because if you are supporting him with the allegations against him it will only increase your troubles.' Well, the President ignored that advice and went ahead and we saw in Alabama, as we did in Virginia in the governor’s race, suburban women weren’t voting for or against Trump but really turning against the Republicans who had gotten endorsements from Trump. And then you also had a fight — this is really interesting, apparently the political team both inside and outside the White House on Wednesday, the same day as the President had that great celebration on the South Lawn, with a lot of top Republican political operatives saying that the White House doesn’t have a good enough political operation, the RNC doesn’t have a good enough political operation and they could face real problems in the 2018 mid-terms."
