FORBES: “Actually, this bill, despite what the Democrats say, will do more good than harm by a good margin. In the last few days before they passed the bill, the Senate actually improved it. Took out a lot of politically damaging junk out of it. Even though they have seven tax rates instead of the House having four, those seven rates actually are lower for most people than what the House had with those four tax rates. So on that side, it is a good thing. So unless you make a real big high income, most people are going to see their tax rates going down. Blue states with the SALT, state and local tax deductions going away, that will hurt, but it will not overcome the good of the bill.”
