Josh Earnest: Trump Views the Presidency as a Platform to Make Himself Look Good

‘President Trump does not view the responsibility that he has to serve the country’

EXCERPT:

EARNEST: "And here’s I think the other difference between President Trump and basically every president that has come before him. Every president that has come before him have used that large platform as a position of national service to serve the country. President Trump does not view the responsibility that he has to serve the country. He views it as an opportunity to make himself look good. And all of these members of Congress, members of the staff know that it’s not about appealing to what’s best for the country. It’s about appealing to what’s best for him. That’s what they do to stay in his good graces.”
