Tim Scott: Family Making Around $73,000 a Year Will Get a 60% Cut in Their Taxes

‘The good news is, this tax reform debate could end in February, when you look at your paycheck, is it higher or is it not?’

EXCERPT:

SCOTT: "I am looking forward to it. If you look back to the 1986 tax reform package, what you'll find is that the polls were very consistent then with where they are now. So the good news is that hopefully 31 years from now, when we're looking back on the tax reform package, we will find the American people are excited about the last tax reform in 2017, and looking forward to the next one, hopefully before 31 years. So we're -- we're in good position to go home and talk about single moms getting 75 percent, 70, 72 percent cut in their taxes; typical American family making around $73,000 a year, getting a 60 percent cut in their taxes. The good news is, this tax reform debate could end in February, when you start looking at your paycheck, is it higher or is it not?"
