Goodell Presser Ends with Questions over Why He Hasn’t Appointed Black Women

‘Can you justify not having an African-American as part of that group of women that you’ve hired to look into sexual assault and domestic violence?’

CBS NEWS REPORTER: "It’s obvious when you look out on the field, a lot of these players -- it’s a diverse crowd. A lot of the players that have been highlighted recently are African-American. Can you justify not having an African-American as part of that group of women that you’ve hired to look into sexual assault and domestic violence?"

GOODELL: "Well, that’s not true. We have internal experts that have been working on this that are people of color, that are women and men. And they have been involved with this process from the beginning. In addition, as I said in my statement, we will continually evaluate, do we need other resources, do we need other individuals, do we need other organizations that can help us make —" [crosstalk]
