Krugman: This Is ‘Tax Cuts for Corporations Paid for Taking Away Health Care from People’

‘Is this something that ought to be a priority?’

RUSH EXCERPT:
KRUGMAN: "Yeah, well, I mean, it’s an interesting thing. The Congressional Budget Office says that 13 million people will lose health insurance because of the elimination of the individual mandate. Now, Republicans want you to believe that is not going to happen, but if it doesn’t happen, their numbers don’t add up, because their bill counts on the savings that come from 5 million people losing Medicaid and another 5 million dropping off the Obamacare-subsidized exchanges. So, this really is — tax cuts for corporations paid for taking away health care from people, by raising taxes on individuals. Is this something that ought to be a priority? Is this something that makes sense? And we haven’t even gotten into the pass through business thing, which is the worst measure in any tax bill in U.S. history."
