RUSH EXCERPT:

PAYNE: "You have a lot of Republicans and never-Trumpers saying if Moore wins tonight the GOP will have an image that needs to be repaired. Already McConnell calling for a special meeting in the morning. Do you see that happening or is this a trap Republicans can find themselves being pulled into?"
SCHIFFER: "There is a possibility. If the Democrats want to use Roy Moore, they are going to get into a sticky situation because they have their own issues. if Moore wins, it won’t be an issue. They are making it into one. McConnell is hyper conservative. but he has been wrong a lot. He was worried about Trump and Trump is certainly being effective. They are going to pass the tax plan, it certainly looks like. If you have  an issue with character, that’s your issue, you don’t have to vote about it. But again the Republican brand will survive it."
PAYNE: "We have seen harassment issues, it’s been a bipartisan situation. so why would McConnell allow the will of the people of Alabama if it fills Roy Moore, to be hijacked and turn it into something else?"
MURDOCK: "Well, a couple of things. The first is sexual harassment. not just alleged harassment of adults, but teenaged girls."
PAYNE: "What could they do so? What would they do during the course of their investigation that would go beyond what we have seen so far? It could send people down into Alabama to talk to these people to see if they can document what took place answer see if they can photograph any of these things from 40 years ago. whether Al Franken sees Roy Moore come in. He might say if the Senate is good enough for Roy Moore, it’s good enough for Franken."
PAYNE: "I thought he was cryptic not giving a firm date on his resignation. it feels like if this is where the establishment takes its stance. I thought the election of 2016, even though Hillary was the nominee, I feel democrats proved the point with Bernie Sanders. the American people may not like the senate trying to hold back the will of Alabama."
SCHIFFER: "McConnell is a poker player. What he says publicly and what he’s going to do behind the scenes in terms of making the moves. I don’t see them wanting to kick Moore out once he’s in. It makes them vulnerable from a policy standpoint. He may be front facing. But I think he recognizes the election of 2018 is a long ways away. and i think he recognizes the Democrats won’t want to tangle on this issue. They just won’t."
