Chuck Schumer Defends Kirsten Gillibrand, Rips Trump for ‘Nasty’ Tweet (Mediaite)

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer defended fellow New York Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand over President Trump’s “nasty” tweet about her this morning (which also invoked Schumer).

A number of Democrats have come to Gillibrand’s defense, and this afternoon Schumer said Trump’s tweet was “nasty.”

He called it “unbecoming of a President” and reiterated, “The President needs to cut it out with the tweeting! He ought to stop tweeting and start leading.”
