Broaddrick: Being Excluded From Time’s #MeToo Movement Story ‘Disappointed Me’

‘I was ‘me too’ decades before it was okay to be “me too,” and I truly didn’t feel a part of that and actually at that time I did decline because just like I said, I didn’t feel a part of it’

Broaddrick: Being Excluded From Time’s #MeToo Movement Story ‘Disappointed Me’ (The Washington Free Beacon)

Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who has long accused Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, told Fox News host Martha McCallum that she was "disappointed" that Time did not include her comments in the magazine's "Person of the Year" profile piece on the #MeToo movement against sexual violence.

In an exclusive interview that aired Monday night, MacCallum asked Broaddrick how she felt when comments she made to Time were not included in the piece, entitled "The Silence Breakers." The article highlighted women of the #MeToo movement who have put a spotlight on sexual harassment and assault by powerful figures in Hollywood, politics, the media, and elsewhere.

"Well, it was disappointing to me, Martha. They had called to ask me and asked if I would be interested in participating in a story that they were doing about the ‘Me Too' movement," Broaddrick said. "I really didn't feel a part of that movement. I was ‘me too' decades before it was okay to be ‘me too,' and I truly didn't feel a part of that and actually at that time I did decline because just like I said, I didn't feel a part of it."
