Charles Barkley’s Passionate Anti-Moore Plea to Alabama: Show America ‘We’re Not a Bunch of Damn Idiots’ (Mediaite)

Doug Jones, the Democratic Senate candidate in Alabama, has been careful not to seem as though he’s not leaning on political and celebrity star power — even though it’s a constituency from which he’s received a great deal of support.

But Jones did infuse some star power into his election-eve campaign rally on Monday, in the form of a favorite Alabama son, retired NBA great Charles Barkley.

Sir Charles — who was born and raised just outside of Birmingham, AL and played his college ball for Auburn — made an impassioned plea to Alabama voters to reject the candidacy of Republican Roy Moore, who has been accused of child molestation and sexual assault.
