Former President Obama made another pop culture cameo Tuesday night, dropping in on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he took a veiled shot at President Trump.

Obama, who alongside his wife recently made a cameo at the American Music Awards to talk up their love of Diana Ross, returned to the pop culture fray last night.

The former president appeared on the show, where Bono appeared as a guest to promote World AIDS Day, to rally support for the cause.

But in so doing, took another veiled shot at the current commander in chief, suggesting he's feeding a culture of "cynicism."

"I know we live at a time when cable news and our Twitter feeds can make it feel like cynicism is everywhere, but when it comes to the fight against HIV AIDS, there’s some genuinely good news to share," Obama said. "For the first time in history, more than half of all people living with the virus are on life saving medication. Since the peak of the virus, AIDS-related deaths have been cut in half. Today more than 20 million people around the world are on anti-retro viral drugs that make it possible to live, work and raise HIV children."

Obama is set to return to the world stage this week. In New Delhi, he'll host world leaders at an Obama Foundation event; he'll also be making stops in China and Paris.
