Graham: A Lot of the GOP Senators Want a Debt Backstop to Hike Taxes If the Tax Cuts Don’t Work

‘What if the economy doesn’t grow the way we think it will’

RUSH EXCERPT:
GRAHAM: "Well, it’s not — people have legitimate concerns. What if the economy doesn’t grow the way we think it will. And the revenue doesn’t come in? The trigger is to deal with that situation. Senator corker says, if we don’t grow the way you think we will, then I want to have a PC stop, I think he’s reached an accommodation with the finance committee that to me is a really good deal. If we don’t hit that 4/10 of 1% gdp growth, there will be a trigger that will roll back some of the tax cuts. I think that’s going to happen. I think they’re very close to a deal. I know Ron Johnson very well. He’s smart as hell. His concerns are legitimate. And I think we can address them."
