ELROD: "It is absolutely a racist slur, there's no question about it. We saw this during the campaign. He has a really hard time dealing with powerful women. He cannot help himself by making some sort of negative derogatory comment. We saw it with Hillary Clinton and we see it with Elizabeth Warren and other women. But ultimately, President Trump needs the entire focus this week to be on his tax bill, right? So when he makes a comment like this at an event honoring war heroes, he is taking the news off of something that he really needs to focus on, which is a legislative landmark victory."
