Peter King: ‘Most of the New York Delegation Is Going to Vote No’ on Tax Cuts

‘I can’t speak for all of them but I know that Dan Donovan is definitely no’

EXCERPT:

SMITH: "The GOP not giving up on dismantling ObamaCare. Senate Republicans now including a repeal of the laws individual mandate it as part of their tax bill. But the House version will not, for now at least. Joining me now New York Congressman Peter King. Congressman, thanks for coming on with us this morning."
KING: "Thank you, Sandra."
SMITH: "It's obvipusly a very busy time for all of you. The last we checked with you, you were a firm no on the House bill. Has anything changed?"
KING: "No, Sandra, really it hasn’t. Listen, I've had very good meetings with Steve Scalise and Kevin McCarthy, Patrick McHenry and also with Kevin Brady. But no, so far there has been no progress. The -- I would say most of the New York delegation is going to vote no. I can’t speak for all of them but I certainly know that Dan Donovan and [indecipherable] they told me that they are definitely no. I think several others are also. This again we believe will have a severe impact on New York, especially the down state area that we represent where the property taxes and the state income tax level is high and so much of that would be lost."
