MSNBC: Duterte Sings a Philippine Love Song on the Orders of Trump

WALLACE: “This morning the President is in the Philippines where he spoke at ASEAN Summit along with Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte. In the streets Trump was greeted with massive and at times violent protests which included this enormous burning effigy. While inside, Trump and Duterte clinked glasses during the formal gala to open the summit with Trump later saying the two have a great relationship. Duterte also say sang a Philippine love song at the gala called 'You Are the Light' which he later said was, quote, on the orders of the commander-in-chief of the United States. Wow. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says the issue of human rights did, quote, briefly come up in the context of the Philippine's fight against illegal drugs, an extremely controversial crackdown involving extrajudicial killings that have reportedly left thousands dead."
