It only makes sense that in a deadlocked governor’s race, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner would call on Iron Mike to get him over the top. Rauner leads the incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn (D.) by 7 points in a RCP poll.

Ditka is an renown conservative, who even dabbled with a senate run of his own in 2006 that would have pit him against a little known Illinois state senator out of Chicago.
