Scarborough, Frank Bruni Rip Obama on ISIS: ‘It’s the Terror, Not the Tweets’

Scarborough, Bruni Knock Obama for Downplaying ISIS: ‘It’s the Terror, Not the Tweets’ (Mediaite)

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni criticized President Barack Obama for underplaying the threat of the Islamic militant organization ISIS, especially when he spoke about ISIS being amplified through social media.

“The social media thing — when [Obama] says something like that, I just roll my eyes and go, my god, they really don’t get it,” Scarborough said. “ISIS is different. ISIS is even different than Osama bin Laden, who depended on having a rich daddy to be able to fund a lot of things. These people are sweeping up territory the size of Jordan; they’re grabbing control of hundreds of millions of dollars of American passports. They are a grave threat and it has nothing to do with Twitter.”
