Peter King: I Can’t Believe Either Clinton or Podesta Weren’t Aware of Fusion GPS

‘It’s been told second hand that dossier could have been used as a basis to obtain the FISA warrant’

EXCERPT:

SMITH: "As far as who knew, we saw the statement from the DNC yesterday said this wasn’t us. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was asked about it and said she didn’t know about it. But then did Hillary Clinton herself know about it? Here is her former campaign spokesperson Brian Fallon answering that question."
[clip starts]
FALLON: "She may have known. But the degree of exactly what she knew is beyond my knowledge. For instance like, it could have been a decision was made to authorize Perkins Coie to do some kind of commission, some kind of research. But then decisions about going out and finding Fusion GPS, finding Christopher Steele, I mean, she may or may not had been aware of that level of detail. I don’t know."
[clip ends]
SMITH: "Is there any chance that she didn’t know, congressman?"
KING: "I know Hillary Clinton pretty well. She is a master of detail. And it's been $6 million was spent on this. You don’t lay out that kind of money in a campaign unless you know why it is being spent and what it is being spent for. And you have the final product which the -- you know Democrats had not put out themselves, they had somebody else to leak it out and try to get it out there. Which indicates that they knew there was something wrong with this. And yet they wanted to get it in through the back door. So, no, I can’t believe that either Secretary Clinton or John Podesta or somebody on that level was not aware. You don't -- $6 million is an awful lot of money if you spending in the campaign without the highest levels approving it."
