Fmr. U.S. General: Don’t Be ‘So Paranoid’ about Boots on the Ground (Mediaite)

General Anthony Zinni, a retired Commander in Chief of the U.S. Central Command, told Meet the Press Sunday morning that the public needed to be less wary about putting boots on the ground in Iraq, and that in fact just two brigades would contain ISIS with less cost that air strikes.

“The boots on the ground question is always the toughest one,” Zinni said. “I wish we were not so paranoid about boots on the ground. We can’t even define it! There’s going to have to be special operations forces,” even with air strikes.
