Scarborough: Clearly Bush’s Speech Was Directed Right at Trump and Bannonism

‘Clearly the language directed right at Donald Trump and directly at this sort of Bannon-ism that he is now embracing’

EXCERPT:

SCARBOROUGH: “Yeah. Noah Rothman, clearly the language directed right at Donald Trump and directly at this sort of Bannonism that he is now embracing.”
ROTHMAN: “Yeah, I was told by now that the GOP would be the party of Trump. It doesn’t seem that way. In the last couple of days, we’ve had searing comments from the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, outgoing or rather Senator John McCain at Cato gave a blistering speech attacking the sort of Trumpian isolationism that we’ve seen in his foreign policy and now George W. Bush who has been giving these speeches, these sentiments for the last two decades, giving them again, only now with a much more pointed critique of a movement that is overtaking the Republican Party. There is still a really live debate about which direction this party is going to go in. And just because Donald Trump is president doesn’t necessarily mean that the, you know, to use a sort of warm term ‘resistance,’ has abated. It’s very much ongoing.”
